The Concept
Al Salamo Alaykom,
By the grace of Allah this playgroup was established in 2005 and we will always ask Allah to help us to fulfil our duties to the best of our abilities and to continue and to give our kids the care and the education they need and deserve.
Sr. Hoda El Walili, an Egyptian architect, and a mother of three learnt a lot about learning when her daughter was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. This is a life-long condition that causes delays in learning and development. As a loving mother, Sr. Hoda was determined to teach her child to adpat to situations so that her learning could lead her to a more rich and full life. Sr. Hoda’s great patience encouraged her to gain further insight into the love and attention all children need as they discover beauty and truth on their path to adulthood.
As her daughter grew Sr. Hoda’s dream grew with her. This was the advantage of designing a broad-based education programme for Marhaba. This program allows an individual child to choose from a range of activities that deliver new knowledge in a fun and interesting way.
The overwhelming interest shown by parents has encouraged the group to think about the special character and qualities of Marhaba. Everyone shares a passion to work with children and to help the community it serves.
Marhaba is a melting pot of cultures and it is exciting to be involved in upbringing of young Muslims who learn, at a very young age, that the brotherhood of man is important, operating across national or cultural boundaries. A family that accepts these obligation will raise their young ones to be happy and balanced individuals in society.
If you have any further queries regarding the operation of Marhaba please send an e-mail and we will get back to you - Insha’ah Allah.
Regards,
Hoda El-Walili
